First in a stunning new post-apocalyptic paranormal romance trilogy.
Growing up with an unstable, often absent father who preached about the end of the world, Jenna never thought in her wildest nightmares that his predictions would come true. Or that he would have a plan in place to save her—one that includes the strong, stoic man who kidnaps and takes her to a remote cabin in the Pacific Northwest.
The mysterious ex-soldier named Mason owes a life-debt to Jenna's father. Skilled and steadfast, he's ready for the prophesied Change, but Jenna proves tough to convince. Until the power grid collapses and mutant dogs attack—vicious things that reek of nature gone wrong.
When five strangers appear, desperate to escape the bloodthirsty packs, Jenna defies her protector and rescues them. As technology fails and the old world falls away, Jenna changes too, forever altered by supernatural forces. To fight for their future, she and Mason must learn to trust their instinctive passion—a flame that will see them through the bitter winter, the endless nights, and the violence of a new Dark Age.

Review

Even though this story is fast paced, it didn't grab my attention like I thought it would.  This is a good story when it comes to post apocalyptic but it didn't quite make it to the amazing read.  I felt as though it were on the cusp of mind blowing but somehow missed the mark.  The romance is good, and Jenna and John are hot together.  The side characters are engaging and interesting.  An all around good book.

Pretty Cover ALERT Fling A BSDM Erotica Anthology

I think that it's the sparkles :)  I just love covers like this with the black and white photo and the red.

Fling, an erotica collection of three steamy BDSM novellas set in Italy’s kinky Mancusi Resort during its infamous Fetish Week, features Take Me by New York Times bestselling author Sara Fawkes, Teach Me by Cathryn Fox, and Tame Me by Lauren Hawkeye.

Kate Swansea’s fiancĂ©e dumps her a day before the wedding. Will wealthy Greek businessman Alexander Stavros convince the BDSM virgin that a sexual adventure is the cure for her broken heart?

Tycoon Luca Mancusi whisks fashion intern Josie Pelletier off to his private resort to negotiate a deal for her boss’s lingerie line. But, by negotiation, he means a long, slow, spicy seduction…

Ariel Monroe, pop-star princess, refuses to sign a contract with CEO Marco Kennedy. She’s furious when he follows her to Fetish Week, although she could use a hot BDSM play partner. If he’s up to the challenge, of course.

Fans of E.L. James and Sylvia Day will fall for Fling.

A multi-published author in the romance genre, Cathryn has two teenagers who keep her busy and ahusband who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. Cathryn can never find balance in her life and is always trying to keep up with emails, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter. She spends her days writing page-turning books filled with heat and heart, and loves to hear from her readers.
Lauren Hawkeye is a writer, yoga newbie, knitting aficionado, and animal lover who lives in the shadows of the great Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada. She's older than she looks (really) and younger than she feels (most of the time). She has published with Avon Books and Harlequin and writes contemporary erotica as Lauren Jameson for New American Library.

Handsome Howard . . .
Hunky Howard . . .
Hot Howard . . .
It's not every day that Elsa Bjornberg feels delicate, not when she hosts a home renovation show where she can effortlessly demolish a kitchen. But from the moment she meets Howard Barr, this bear of a man makes her feel like a woman. And the way he looks at her, as if she were a pot of honey he'd like to lick . . .
Howard is not like most men. For one thing, he's a shapeshifter. And he always thought his celebrity crush would never amount to anything more than drooling at Elsa on TV. When his meddling vampire employer gets involved, the star is suddenly within his grasp—and within a hair of her life. For an ancient curse forbids their newfound love, and Howard is suddenly torn between his desire for her and his desire to keep her alive.
An alpha were bear that has stolen my heart.   This story was sweet, adorable and so very hunky Howard!

Review

I'm wild about Howard!  This is a sweet tale of tender, lovable teddy bear that is ALL Alpha.  Mrs. Sparks brought forth the sweetness and tenderness in an Alpha male that I've rarely ever seen written.  A delightfull and heart tugging read.  This is HEA with donuts and yummy all wrapped up in one!

He-Man Howard.  Even when she avoided looking at him, she could feel his presence as if he were the only one in the room.

Howard was so much more than handsome and hunky and huge.  Howard was hot!

They cantered off, and she jogged after them.  "I hope you're not taking me to some weird animal ceremony.  I never liked vention, okay?"  Except in sausage, but she wouldn't tell him that.

Her eyes widened as she took in his entire form from the back.  Huge, hunky Howard.

She blinked and looked him over.

Review of Oblivion staring Tom Cruise

A veteran assigned to extract Earth's remaining resources begins to question what he knows about his mission and himself.

Rating B+ As AlwAys Tom Cruise delivers A strong performance.

Tom Cruise the last couple of years has always been a little strange but there is no denying that he can act and is at the top of the A listers.  The CGI was amazing in this movie.  It looked incredible real.  Andrea Riseborurgh, Victoria the red head, was a stand out performance for me.  I loved when she states "We are not an affective team".  Her placid and controlled reactions were perfect against the emotion driven Tom character.  Good summer movie to watch!

Overview

A proper young lady risks more than her reputation when consorting with the roguishly handsome Lucian Langdon, but Lady Catherine Mabry believes she has no choice. To protect those she loves, she would do anything—even strike a bargain with the devil himself.
Lucian desires respectability and a wife above all else, but the woman of his choosing lacks the social graces to be accepted by the aristocracy. Catherine can help Lucian gain everything he wants. But what she asks for in exchange will put their very lives in jeopardy. When danger closes in, Catherine discovers a man of immense passion and he discovers a woman of immeasurable courage. As secrets from his dark past are revealed, Lucian begins to question everything he knows to be true, including the yearnings of his own heart.

 Review

A traditional historical read, well written and very pleasing afternoon spent.  Lucian wasn't your average hero, being from the London streets, he reflected this continuously throughout the book but with gentlemanly flair.  I've always preferred those hero's that are true to their nature but have over come. them or have growth.  Catherine was a spunky Lady but one with an open heart and mind.  There was a dab of mystery, fights and many questions of parentage.  Lorraine Heath sets up the next books in the series nicely, with interesting side characters and love interest.

Hot cover ALERT!!! Flirting with Disaster by Ruthie Knox

I just love this cover!  It's super sexy and of course brings to mind all kinds of dirty and naughty thoughts! ;)

In the latest eBook original novel in RITA finalist Ruthie Knox’s scorching-hot Camelot series, a no-strings fling looks an awful lot like falling in love—or flirting with disaster.

Fresh out of a fiasco of a marriage, Katie Clark has retreated to her hometown to start over. The new Katie is sophisticated, cavalier, and hell-bent on kicking butt at her job in her brother’s security firm. But on her first assignment—digging up the truth about the stalker threatening a world-famous singer-songwriter—Katie must endure the silent treatment from a stern but sexy partner who doesn’t want her help . . . or her company.

Sean Owens knows that if he opens his mouth around Katie, she’ll instantly remember him as the geeky kid who sat behind her in high school. Silence is golden, but he can’t keep quiet forever, not with Katie stampeding through their investigation. It’s time for Sean to step up and take control of the case, and his decade-old crush. If he can break through Katie’s newfound independence, they just might find they make a perfect team—on the road, on the job, and in bed.

Look whats out today Abaddon's Gate by James S.A. Corey

I have this new love of Science Fiction and Urban Fantasy and this one sounds very cool.  Of course I'll have to read the first 2 in the series!

For generations, the solar system -- Mars, the Moon, the Asteroid Belt -- was humanity's great frontier. Until now. The alien artifact working through its program under the clouds of Venus has appeared in Uranus's orbit, where it has built a massive gate that leads to a starless dark.
Jim Holden and the crew of the Rocinante are part of a vast flotilla of scientific and military ships going out to examine the artifact. But behind the scenes, a complex plot is unfolding, with the destruction of Holden at its core. As the emissaries of the human race try to find whether the gate is an opportunity or a threat, the greatest danger is the one they brought with them.

When ice miner captain Jim Holden stumbles upon an abandoned ship in the Asteroid Belt, he doesn't immediately realize that he and his crew have chanced upon a secret that threatens the entire human race. Nor can he yet understand the role that a lone detective searching for a vanished girl will play in his search for an equalizing force. George R.R. Martin calls James S.A. Corey's Leviathan "a really kickass opera?.interplanetary adventure the way it ought to be written."

We are not alone.
On Ganymede, breadbasket of the outer planets, a Martian marine watches as her platoon is slaughtered by a monstrous supersoldier. On Earth, a high-level politician struggles to prevent interplanetary war from reigniting. And on Venus, an alien protomolecule has overrun the planet, wreaking massive, mysterious changes and threatening to spread out into the solar system.
